Lawrenceburg, Ky — Candidate for State Senate Katie Howard has taken to the road to hear the concerns of people in District 7.
“Politicians often do a lot of talking and not much listening,” said Howard. “I am holding open sessions in County libraries, senior centers and assisted living facilities. I want to have an dialogue with the people I will represent.” Eight sessions are planned in January with more in the works for February. The sessions will be held in Anderson, Franklin, Gallatin, Owen and Woodford counties. interested residents can just drop in for an open chat session.
“Often, I am asked, ‘what will you do when you get to Frankfort?'” My response is, “I will do what the residents of the District ask me to do. I won’t know unless I do a lot of listening,” said Howard. More information is available on Howard’s Facebook page, under Events.
Katie Howard is a business leader and community advocate, living in Lawrenceburg, KY. She previously was Vice President-Operations for Ameritech and currently serves as President of Anderson County Republican Women. She manages the local food pantry and is on the Board for Lamp & Light Ministries.
